Purpose

Supports elementary and middle school educators implementing innovative STEM academic programs and learning experiences. Funding may help cover classroom or extracurricular activities, instructional tools, robotics clubs, cyber clubs, and other projects that increase students’ engagement in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Grants of up to $2,000 are awarded, with applications accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis beginning October 1, 2026.

Eligibility

Elementary and middle school teachers in the United States who teach science, technology, engineering, or mathematics. The opportunity is available to educators at public and private schools, with priority consideration given to teachers serving economically disadvantaged students. Applications must include a detailed project proposal, budget, and recommendation letter from the school principal.

Purpose

Supports Hardin County Schools teachers by providing supplemental classroom resources that enhance student learning and increase student engagement. Funding may be used for classroom enhancement projects that expand educational experiences and support student learning. Grants are available up to $500, and teachers may apply at any time. Grants are awarded throughout the year, and recipients are required to report follow-up outcomes.

Eligibility

Hardin County Schools teachers seeking supplemental classroom resources to expand educational experiences, enhance classroom instruction, and increase student engagement. This is a restricted access grant, and applicants must contact the HCS Community Relations Specialist for the access code before applying.

Purpose

The TEACH Grant Program provides grants of up to $4,000 each year to students who are completing or plan to complete course work needed to begin a teaching career. Unlike other federal student grants, the TEACH Grant requires recipients to agree to complete four years of teaching in a high-need field and underserved school as a condition for receiving the grant.

Eligibility

Basic eligibility requirements are that you must

• demonstrate financial need (for most programs);

• be a U.S. citizen or an eligible noncitizen;

• have a valid Social Security number (with the exception of students from the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, or the Republic of Palau);

• be registered with Selective Service, if you’re a male (you must register between the ages of 18 and 25);

• be enrolled or accepted for enrollment as a regular student in an eligible degree or certificate program;

• be enrolled at least half-time to be eligible for Direct Loan Program funds;

• maintain satisfactory academic progress in college or career school;

• sign the certification statement on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form stating that 

  • you are not in default on a federal student loan,
  • you do not owe money on a federal student grant, and
  • you will use federal student aid only for educational purposes; and

• show you’re qualified to obtain a college or career school education by 

  • having a high school diploma or a recognized equivalent such as a General Educational Development (GED) certificate;
  • completing a high school education in a homeschool setting approved under state law (or—if state law does not require a homeschooled student to obtain a completion credential—completing a high school education in a homeschool setting that qualifies as an exemption from compulsory attendance requirements under state law); or
  • enrolling in an eligible career pathway program and meeting one of the "ability-to-benefit" alternatives described below.

Wheels to Woods provides funding to PreK-12 schools and other youth groups to pay for transportation costs for an educational field trip to a nearby forest or forest products company. 

Eligibility

Any PreK-12 school in Michigan is eligible to apply for funds to go on a field trip to a school forest, private forest, public forest or forest products company.

Purpose

Supports teacher-led projects that address student needs, improve engagement, and provide meaningful learning experiences during the 2026–2027 school year. Projects may focus on wellness and mental health, literacy, reading, foreign languages, mathematics, science, social studies, arts, or other creative learning experiences. Individual applicants may request up to $1,000, and funded expenses must be completed by May 1, 2027.

Teachers employed by Westfield Washington Schools in Indiana who are seeking funding for teacher-designed ideas that promote student growth, increase engagement, and strengthen classroom learning.

Supports Brevard Public Schools teachers in developing creative projects that make student learning more engaging, hands-on, and meaningful. Single-classroom projects may receive up to $500, while grade-level or schoolwide projects may receive up to $1,500. Applications are due September 14, 2026.

Supports educator-designed projects that directly benefit Carmel Clay Schools students through innovative learning resources, wellness initiatives, and opportunities that prepare students for academic and personal success. Eligibility

Certified Carmel Clay Schools educators. Group applications may include non-certified staff members as long as a certified educator serves as the lead applicant.

Purpose

Supports Volusia County public school teachers who develop creative uses of curriculum that provide enhanced learning experiences for students. Funding may be used for student supplies, curriculum materials, educational activities, remediation programs, enrichment projects, and other classroom resources that directly support student learning. Each teacher may request up to $1,000, and funded materials remain the property of the school.

Eligibility

K–12 teachers employed by Volusia County Public Schools. Each teacher may submit up to two grant requests for a combined maximum of $1,000. Charter schools are generally not eligible unless the FUTURES Foundation Board approves an exception based on extenuating circumstances.

Purpose

Provides financial support to beginning teachers in Greenwood School Corporation as they establish classroom collections of supplies, educational resources, and curriculum materials. The program helps new educators obtain resources needed to build effective learning environments and directly support their students. Qualified applicants may receive up to $300, paid directly to the approved teacher.

Eligibility

Full-time teachers employed by Greenwood School Corporation who are within the first three years of their teaching career. Teachers may apply during each of their first three qualifying years.

Purpose

Supports innovative projects and programs that improve the quality of public elementary, secondary, and postsecondary education, with a focus on student success in high-need schools. The fund supports initiatives related to academic achievement, educational equity, professional development, technology integration, civic literacy, information literacy, and services for underserved student populations. Competitive preference is given to projects supporting early-career educators and racial justice in education. The program uses a two-stage application process consisting of planning grants followed by implementation grants.

Public schools, educators, nonprofit organizations, 501(c)(3) organizations, and other eligible educational entities, including homeschool-affiliated organizations.

Purpose

Supports professional learning experiences that strengthen educators’ classroom instruction, leadership skills, and professional partnerships. Individual applicants may request support for conferences, seminars, institutes, travel-based learning, or action research. Grants of up to $5,000 support projects lasting up to 12 months.

Eligibility

Current National Education Association members who are public school teachers, education support professionals, or specialized instructional support personnel. Individual educators and groups of educators may apply. Current NEA Foundation grantees are not eligible for concurrent funding.

Grants of up to $5,000 support activities lasting up to 12 months.

Eligibility

Current National Education Association members who work as public school teachers, education support professionals, or specialized instructional support personnel. Administrators and current NEA Foundation grantees are not eligible.

Purpose

Provides under-resourced public K–12 schools with equipment, instruments, and materials needed to create new theatre education opportunities or strengthen existing school theatre programs. Funding may support musical instruments, lighting equipment, sound equipment, costumes, and other theatrical resources that enhance students’ education and training. Grant proposals of up to $50,000 will be considered.

Eligibility

Individual under-resourced public K–12 schools in the United States or Puerto Rico. An affiliated nonprofit parent organization may apply on behalf of a school, but the parent organization must have an independent Employer Identification Number and official 501(c)(3) status.

Competitive grants range from $2,000 to $5,000, and applications are due September 20, 2026.

Eligibility

Alachua County School District educators. Projects may be submitted by an individual teacher, a group of teachers, or at the school level, but one lead teacher must be designated as the primary grant contact and reporting person.

Purpose

Supports in-person before-school, after-school, before-and-after-school, and summer programming for Michigan students in grades K–12. Programs must include core academic areas such as mathematics, reading, and science and may also provide mentoring, leadership development, arts, financial literacy, STEM, health and wellness, career and college exploration, youth voice, conflict resolution, and other expanded learning opportunities. Michigan has allocated $135 million for the program, with individual funding determined by the number of students, program sites, days, and hours of service proposed. Applications are due September 23, 2026.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants include 501(c)(3) community-based organizations, religious-based institutions, federally recognized tribal nations, institutions of higher education, public libraries, local cities or municipalities, and intermediate school districts. Applicants must also satisfy applicable Michigan child care or camp licensing requirements or qualify for an exemption.
